Ultra-Quiet 140mm fans

140mm fans have enjoyed a massive surge in popularity in recent times, with many case manufacturers now including 140mm fan cutouts as standard. The big advantage of a 140mm fan is that because its blades are larger than any of the other common fan sizes, the fan does not have to spin as quickly in order to produce a given amount of airflow. This means less noise and longer life! With our large range of 140mm fans, there is sure to be a fan to suit any budget and airflow requirement.

Some 140mm fans also have mounting holes which are spaced like those on a 120mm fan and this means that (space permitting) you should be able to use a larger 140mm fan instead of a 120mm fan.

If a 140mm fan does share the same mounting hole positions as a 120mm fan we will mention it in the description of the fan on the actual product page. As a general rule of thumb, 140mm fans housed in a round or oval shaped housing usually have 120mm mounting holes while those in a more conventional square housing will be have 140mm mounting holes. Of course if you are not sure please just call and ask!

To differentiate between standard 3-Pin fans and 4-pin PWM (self adjusting) fans we use PWM in the name of the fan. If it doesn’t say PWM in the name of the fan then it is a standard 3-pin fan.

To convert airflow in cubic feet per minute (CFM) to cubic metres per hour (m³/h), multiply the CFM figure by 1.7.
